HAGBERG Invests €6 Million in the Third Phase of the “Dzilnupes” Rental Village

HAGBERG, a Latvian-owned real estate developer, general contractor and property management company, will invest €6 million in the development of the third phase of the “Dzilnupes” rental village in Dzilnuciems. The project will include seven residential buildings with 42 apartments, expanding the supply of energy-efficient and professionally managed rental homes in the immediate vicinity of Riga. The third phase is scheduled for completion in summer 2027.
Each of the new buildings will comprise six apartments ranging from 45 to 87 square metres. Once the third phase is completed, the “Dzilnupes” project will have a total of 118 apartments. The decision to continue developing the project is based on stable demand for rental housing in a nature-rich environment, with occupancy of the apartments built during the first two phases exceeding 90%.

A Unified Living Environment Concept Close to Nature
The “Dzilnupes” development concept is based on low-density construction, extensive green areas and thoughtful site planning close to the water. Each apartment will have its own private outdoor space – a balcony or terrace – while the arrangement of the buildings is designed to ensure privacy and a peaceful living environment.
HAGBERG combines real estate development, construction and ongoing professional property management within the project, maintaining a consistent approach to the quality of the living environment even after the buildings are completed and commissioned.
Living Close to Nature with the Advantages of Riga’s Surroundings
The “Dzilnupes” village is located in a pine forest on the banks of the Dzilnupe River, next to the Boži Reservoir. Riga city centre, Riga International Airport and the coast are all easily accessible from the village, combining a nature-oriented lifestyle with access to the infrastructure of the capital and the surrounding Riga region.
The development of the third phase of the “Dzilnupes” project will also include further improvements to the site, expanding shared green areas, recreational spaces and infrastructure, including electric vehicle charging stations. During the previous phases of the project, the forest floor vegetation was restored and more than 100 trees and shrubs were planted. Construction works will be organised with the aim of minimising their impact on the daily lives of existing residents and the surrounding natural environment.
